Trout Filigree unites two distinct studio processes—hand‑carved linocut and archival giclée printing—to explore the interplay between structure and flow within the trout’s natural patterning. The composition balances precision and movement: filigree‑like linework carved into linoleum meets the luminous tonal layering of pigment ink, creating a dialogue between tactile relief and watercolor‑inspired translucence.

Hand‑Printed Linocut Impressions

Each linocut impression is printed by hand from the carved block and hand‑signed in graphite. Subtle variations in each impression reveal the touch of the block and the hand, giving the piece a distinct, collectible character that feels timeless and quietly expressive. These impressions carry the sculptural presence of traditional printmaking and stand as individual works within the edition.

Giclée Prints

Giclée editions are printed on museum‑quality hot‑press matte fine‑art paper (330 gsm, 17 mil) using archival pigment inks for lasting vibrancy and tonal depth. Each giclée print is hand‑signed in graphite, maintaining the continuity and authenticity of the studio’s fine‑art catalog. The 100% cotton rag paper features a neutral‑white surface with gentle texture and is fully acid‑free for longevity.

Each print maintains its rectangular composition with balanced margins. Prints 20 inches and smaller ship flat in protective packaging; larger formats are rolled with care and include gentle unrolling instructions.
